Anisah Abdullah is one of MISSSEY’s Youth Engagement Specialists and often the first point of contact for many young people entering our programs. A third-generation Oakland native, Anisah has served Bay Area youth for more than a decade and takes deep pride in giving back to the communities that have held her family for generations.
Before joining MISSSEY, Anisah supported her community through Full Spectrum Doula care, teaching Hip-Hop and Afro-Brazilian dance, and facilitating Restorative Justice practices. She brings this creative and healing-centered spirit into all aspects of her work with youth. Outside of MISSSEY, Anisah continues to dance and teach, and can often be found near the trees with a paintbrush and canvas in hand.
