Jennifer Lyle

Dr. Jennifer Lyle is MISSSEY’s Executive Director and has spent more than 25 years advancing the well-being of women, girls, and gender-expansive youth. Her career has spanned community organizations, government, schools, and academia across the U.S. and internationally, always rooted in a commitment to equity, healing, and liberation.

As an African American woman, educator, and activist, Jennifer is dedicated to creating spaces that affirm young people’s rights, expand their opportunities, and nurture supportive relationships. She brings a deep belief in people’s capacity and value, working to equip them with the tools and leadership opportunities to thrive. Jennifer earned her Master of Social Work, Master of Sociology, and Ph.D. in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
