Niya is MISSSEY’s Administrative Coordinator, supporting the organization’s day-to-day operations as a personnel liaison and providing office management, fund development, financial, HR, and grant coordination support across the team. She brings experience from previous roles in HR and learning and development at a nonprofit for foster care and adoption, as well as in events and marketing within higher education.
Niya is currently pursuing an MA in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, with hopes of promoting mental health awareness and psychoeducation in underrepresented, marginalized communities. She is inspired by MISSSEY’s healing-centered, trauma-informed approach and its ability to create genuinely safe spaces for young people. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, spending time in nature, reading, and cuddling with her dog, Bao.
